[Being pinned by McBurn's body isn't so bad... the wardrobe's tall enough to press his back against, and he can feel all of those sculpted details he'd been admiring rubbing against him. It's such a new experience... his frame is so much bigger than his own, there's a lot of sensation to take in here. He's still so warm too. That feeling is muted slightly by his shirt, but not once he slips his hand underneath it. Eric's sigh comes out into the other man's mouth through the kiss. His soft belly isn't normally very sensitive to being stroked, but McBurn's heat has a way of literally getting under his skin. This hand still feels so good... he can only imagine what it would be like wrapped around his junk! He'd feel guilty about perverting it that way, but this is totally his fault. Eric's hand lifts up on that side McBurn's hand is traveling around to keep it out of the other man's way, instead groping awkwardly back against the wardrobe for the moment.
The break in the kiss is well timed, followed by a deep gasp from Eric around the same time he's made eye contact. This half-lidded look of his is pretty sexy, but even more is seeing him with pink cheeks - just that slightest touch of vulnerability amid the dominance that shows him he's just as affected. He's swelling with fondness right now, even though it's only a glimpse that lasts a few seconds. He moves the hand on the wardrobe to slip back behind McBurn, higher this time, to play with his hair while he kisses his neck.]
McBurn... [His voice lilts cutely at the 'burn' part, he just wanted to say it in kind of a jokingly whiny way. He's suspecting hickeys, which to him are possessively cute. This quickly escalates to teeth, which he probably should have expected. If he hadn't noticed, Eric's kind of a weenie, so he quickly grits his teeth.] Hnk-!
[There's an animal reasoning that he's being claimed, which is touching enough that he wants to allow it. Although something deep inside his skin is reeling angrily at this penetration of a demonic entity through teeth on his neck, subconsciously screaming vampires, what the fuck!! Before he knows what he's doing, white lights are jumping all over his body, their emissions practically like shuriken to the body up against him. How painful it is will depend on the true difference in their power levels now, but it probably will hurt at least a little. Eric doesn't know that specifically yet, but he figures if nothing else it would hurt his eyes, so he's quickly mortified.]
[ Listening to him say his name like that had almost certainly resulted in a laugh if he weren't so occupied, and into the moment with the brunet in the first place. Though, before he could do anything else, after hearing the other give out such a loud noise, there was suddenly all this business with lights happening.
It's true that the brightness did surprise him enough that he suddenly let go, closing his eyes as a reflex due to such a blinding flare in his field of vision. The fact that it surprised him was also clearly evident on his face, and there was a little sound of surprise to go along with it, which might've sounded closer to a 'Tch', more than anything. ]
...
[ He's also sitting on the floor because apparently he lost his balance and fell right on his bum as well. Though, he'll get up, clearly just fine, because really it's just a little sting. ]
Kind of a surprise, but guessin' your power activated on its own?
[Excellent, Eric has the high ground. Now off with his head... oh, just kidding. He's fine. Thank goodness he's fine, though, for so many reasons. His light has faded now, replaced only with fretting.]
Y-Yeah, it did. I never bothered to control it before since it was harmless... and Mira liked it... I didn't mean to push you. I didn't even hate what you were doing.
[How to explain... well there was that weird reaction to him falling down, so he's almost completely sure that had something to do with it.]
I just get... intrusive thoughts. They're becoming worse lately. Probably because I almost died.
[it's frustrating that this is getting in the way of his one source of comfort from that...]
[ He'll look down at his hands briefly and as expected, there's no marks left, but that was about what he expected. Still, it was only strange because while he kind of imagined Eric would or could light up, he hadn't expected to actually feel it. ]
Yeah, didn't look like you did it on purpose.
But, guess it makes sense that you're having trouble after all of that. Not like I'm going to blame you for it, and it barely even hurt.
[ He'll rub the back of his hair a bit. Well, he supposed it really was to be expected that what happened was fresh given what... it happened literally about a day ago? He wasn't about to fault Eric for what happened anyway, mood killer or not.
Still, it was definitely something to think about. ]
Think we'll need to hold off this time, though. Nice as the moment was a second ago, it'll be kind of a pain if we did a repeat of all that light flashing.
[How embarrassing. In that case, he'll walk away from the dresser, find a chair to flop down in and try to calm down. The mood may have gotten awkward, but his dick doesn't know that.]
Although, um... That happens when I'm happy too, you know...
[if this is an issue now then they could have a lot more problems later on. He lit up the entire room the first time he was healed by his wife. That could be super uncomfortable for him if just this much sent him toppling, so it's not like he can just ask McBurn to get used to it if it doesn't hurt that much.]
Hah. I guess I just have to get it under control. ...I wonder if taking the sword out of me would help?
[probably not. He was still able to laser when McBurn was fighting with Dawnbreaker. He's never entirely removed of its presence or power. He's just not sure where to begin when he's allowed this to become second nature to him. His hand rubs the spot where he was bit thoughtfully.]
[ It's true, though on McBurn's account the mood definitely caught up with his dick swiftly enough...unlike Eric who was likely suffering a little. ]
Doubt it, considering how our battle went. But, if it's something you're not able to control, guess I could just put up with it.
[ He assumed that it could be, but if that happened to be the case then...well, at the most, it'd be a sting, and a little pain wasn't so bad. It's being suddenly blinded that mostly disrupted the moment for him. If anything that also meant he definitely wasn't going to take off his sunglasses during sex, when things eventually went there with no untimely or unfortunate interruptions. ]
[He'll... be fine. They didn't do that much anyway so he'll just have to cross his legs for a minute. In any case, he likes McBurn's glasses, so that wouldn't offend him. Hell, Fie was always putting on her goggles when he shone in the depths. If anything it's surprising this hasn't come up sooner. But he can already control his power in other ways, like to make colors and patterns, so he's sure eventually he'll be able to break the bad habits he formed around people who don't mind being 'flashed.']
Well, maybe, but I don't want to be a pain. I'll just do my best and try to warn you if I can.
[But now what are they going to do on their time out? Eric raises his knuckles in front of his mouth, thinking nervously and drawing a blank. Well, once he's 'recovered', he can probably show him more of the ship. It'll be fine. He didn't ruin everything. Probably.]
B-But I do appreciate it. That you'll put up with me.
[He really kind of means this in general and not just about this particular issue. One of the reasons he's so clingy is there aren't really a lot of people who will. That number seems even smaller now.]
[ ...There could be an interesting comment made about being flashed but for now let's leave it up to the imagination.
McBurn really had planned on showing him the ship, before Suddenly Thirst happened. Not that he hadn't planned on making his move on Eric at some point in time soon, and it didn't bother him all that much despite the subsequent lightshow. It sure hardly changed how he felt, and as far as he was concerned, it was something they'll manage through just fine. ]
Not like you meant to do it, so not going to blame you.
[ He'll step closer to Eric, who has seated himself in a chair, and despite it all, lean over to give him a quick kiss on the lips, before pulling away, a slight smirk on his lips. ]
Wouldn't call it just merely 'putting up with you'. That'd be whatever I'm doing whenever I'm sent on missions with Duvalie.
[ His voice kind of had a little bit of a teasing note to it. However, whatever Eric's eccentricities, they really weren't enough to bother him. Whether that be on this issue or in their daily interactions. ]
[He already said he wasn't going to blame him, but having it repeated does stop him from dragging himself down that train of thought anyway. The ache below has settled down now, just in time for him to receive another kiss. Eric's new flame sure doesn't let him forget about it for a second. He's gradually starting to get used to it. McBurn would have had to push Eric's hand aside to get at those lips, so with it now up in the air, it hovers above his shoulder in a brief moment of surprise, then pats his arm affectionately as he's pulling away. He's got a small smile now. It's an improvement.]
Alright, I get it. But seriously, that just makes it more... um... more special.
[He'll figure out more about that Duvalie person later. McBurn just 'rewarded' him for being honest with his feelings, that makes it pretty hard to stop doing it right away. Even if it's a little hard to get it out. He's known for a while about his attraction to men but he still never thought he'd actually be saying stuff like this to one.
Anyway. It's not good to let out his entire reserve of sap, so now he'll get back up (unintentionally still kind of following McBurn around.) Soon enough though, he glances back toward the door.]
[ Of course he wouldn't, and McBurn was definitely the type who would've pushed that hand aside just to make that kiss happen too. ]
Good.
...Well, that shouldn't be too hard; there's some place else I wanted to show you on the ship anyway.
[ To be fair, Eric would kind of need to end up following the other man for a bit during their little tour here. And he was already making his move out of the room, expecting the other to follow. Though, it seemed no button pressing was required to exit from inside as the doors just opened as he came close enough to make it happen.
He also lead him the brunet up some stairs, though there weren't many to take since the rooms were somewhere halfway between the top and the bottom of the ship, with some being closer to said top. And the room that he managed to get Eric was one of those.
When they reached the top of those stairs, McBurn pressed a button, which opened the door in front of them, opening the final door as they stood on the outside of the ship. But, it was honestly rather safe, and the airship wasn't so high that making breathing would be troublesome. Not to mention, it wasn't as fast as others, such as the Courageous, and definitely not the Arseille. Just a slow cruiser going through the clouds in the sky, with a bit of railing set up so people don't end up falling an unfortunate death in case of losing footing.
But there was also a lot of space to walk as well, and as expected, there was a little breeze. ]
Not afraid of heights, are you? If you feel like coming closer, you get to see what some of Zemuria looks like from above.
[ And he'll be heading over to the railing himself. ]
[That's nice that he is becoming accustomed to Eric being afraid of many things. Fortunately his problem with heights is not more than the average - he's scared of falling, sure, but not being up here itself. In fact, even he may have slowly adopted the penchant for looking down from above that's an occupational hazard of becoming a God. So once he's gripped the rail with both hands and found it secure, he's peering down with an interested look. There's plenty of clouds in the way, but the continent looks pretty vast even from above. He'll take it in silently for a moment, quietly mouthing a 'wooow'. After he's had his fill of just looking, Eric glances up next to him.]
[ McBurn's learning some things about being considerate to others!
...Though he probably wouldn't care about that if it was literally almost anyone else, so maybe it wasn't exactly the biggest piece of progress he's made. Caring was more or less certain to be one, though.
Once he's stopped walking, McBurn will take to face Eric once more, arms settled lazily against the railing with not a trace of fear or cares in the universe. ]
Erebonia. Guess you could say it's more specifically the Balares Sea nearby the province. We'll probably head inland at some point, though. Plans are really startin' to catch fire if you know what I mean. [ Beat. ] For the others, anyway. Don't really care too much about that right now.
[Eric will just have the tinge of fear for him as he leans slightly back into that giant sky-void that could swallow a man with just a pitch of turbulence. Or what? Does his teleportation circle work in mid-air too? Can he fly with the rest of the powers he has yet to show him? For all he knows, he can... but Eric cares a lot and is calibrated for human needs. He doesn't really know what McBurn needs, though, other than someone to fight. Even this apathy toward the plans brings questions to his mind.]
...well I don't want to slow you down if you actually need to help them...
[But he won't linger on that too long. The truth is he'd much rather spend time with him than wait around while he goes on some mission or other, but that's going to happen eventually whether he likes it or not, so he might as well take that stance before he abruptly changes the subject to the one he'd actually started wondering about again.]
But hey, yesterday you said you wanted to show me more of what you can do. So, can you fly or something? Watching you hang off that rail's making me nervous.
[ McBurn casually forgetting that normal people (if either of the two could be considered normal seeing as Eric had a godlike status now) would be concerned about how easily someone could literally and figuratively flirt with danger was par for the course. Though, first things first... ]
Nah, I won't help them unless there's a tough enough opponent who'd be able to last against the heat of my flames, so it won't be awhile anyway.
[ He'll just get that out of the way. That and he believed it's been awhile since he's truly actually used much of his power. The most he's done involved teleportation spells imbued with fire and summoning his sword to stab Mira less than summoning actual flames. So, it stood to reason after a year of not using his flames properly that there might possibly be some complications if he went into his other form.
That said, it reminded him that he should at least try it out because he should get used to it and maintaining said form for potential upcoming battles. Victor had proven to be worth his time in that and it seems to a point the others might too. ]
I did, didn't I? Can't really fly though I could teleport rather quick just fine so if I fell over I'd be alright.
[ He'll move his arm and coincidentally his elbow from the railing so he could open his hand to show him a little fireball that just came to life in the palm of his hand. The flames were mostly red, but there was a tint of purple mixing in with the crimson that made it look too unnatural. ]
There's a reason I'm called the Almighty Conflagration. With a single thought, there's nothing I can't do with a flame. There's a little something else too, but that'd require a demonstration off the ship, and straight on the Island itself. Pretty sure the ship wouldn't be able to handle it for too long.
Oh, good then! [On both counts! He doesn't have to worry about him going anywhere AND there isn't any risk of him falling off the deck! Man, it's going to be harder to kill him than he thought! Which he totally meant hypothetically for enemies and not himself, he assures himself as he watches this multicolored fire happening.]
O-oh, wow. [It's pretty, but that seems like too paltry of a word to describe what he's seeing. He doesn't know a ton of non-paltry words though, to be honest. What the hell is a conflagration? He won't ask because he'd rather seem like someone who knows words, plus it's pretty obvious from the context it's a fancy word for fire. He hadn't thought of the implications of it before this, either.]
If you have a title like that then it means you're famous, right?
[This is a lot nicer way of thinking of it than 'he's infamous'... the almighty part means he's commanded some respect anyway. Man, no one ever called him the Almighty Eric, and he's totally a god!! Even if his powers are a lot more limited when he's outside of the universe he created. The best he could do if he fell off would be a portal back to Mundus. That's why the other stuff McBurn can do sounds way too dangerous if it could damage the ship, though that in itself is so freaking ominous. He knows he shouldn't be scared. That's why Eric smiles and lifts one of his hand to hover near the fire he summoned to feel its radiant warmth as proof of its existence.]
Famous in Ouroboros, yeah. But infamous to those outside of it who have heard of my existence and haven't been involved in those 'games' we went through. Not that I care in about it either way.
[ ...He's still that kind of guy after all, even if he's changed; what most people think of him mattered little. The fact that McBurn kind of maybe even cared about opinions from a handful of individuals was a miracle in of itself. Or maybe more aptly put due to "character development".
And maybe he's about to say something else, but seeing Eric bring his hand so close to the fire he had conjured in the palm of his hand stopped that. There was a flicker of surprise, though it ending up fading as soon as it appeared, and there's a small smile. There's something about this moment that settled in some kind of feeling he couldn't explain. And he thought that he had everything all figured out.
Well, probably not because before he met anyone on those two trains and...that city.
Either way, Eric's truly right not to fear the flame while it's being contained by McBurn and while it's not exactly being touched for obvious reasons. ]
Heh...not many would dare to get so close to any of my flames. In fact, think that you're the only one who's done that willingly outside of a battle. Kind of wondering a bit about what's run through your mind to do that.
[He was looking between McBurn and the fire, noticing the subtle changes in his expression and smiling back with a fluttering feeling in his chest. He makes Eric sound so brave for wanting to feel the flame's heat, even though he already proved he was someone who would rather save than hurt him. Sure, it looks a little weird, but... well, maybe he was just being too foolish to consider whether a fire that looked like that could turn his hand to ashes at this distance, but the effect it had was totally worth it. He thought it'd be almost like holding hands!! But it's kinda embarrassing to admit that, so he just grins stupidly and leaves his hand hovering at the safe distance.]
Uh... you said you could do whatever you wanted, so I figured not burning my fingers off wouldn't be too hard an ask even if I tried, heh.
[There's a beat as he considers whether to say something dirty on purpose this time instead of on accident. Then he goes for it, but he can't keep a straight face at all.]
I honestly just wanted to feel what it was like up close when you did that. But if I'm really your 'first' here, that's great ♡
[he actually does make that heart in his light, atop a pointed index finger on the hand that isn't cupped close to the unholy glow. ...That hand, by the way, is starting to seriously sweat.]
Edited (I must never forget that Eric is a snowman) 2020-10-12 07:01 (UTC)
[ ... To be honest, even knowing what he knew now, that would be considered another action of bravery to him. Not many people would dare to get up that close to his flames; even less so outside of battle. That was no exaggeration.
The fact that Eric had done so rather casually was rather monumental to him. Rather touching, really; it's something he hadn't felt very often. In fact, he's not even sure it was something he had before this moment. But he was sure it was possible and he couldn't be bothered to remember it (heh) or... he just flat out simply didn't remember due [ spoilers ]. ]
You're not wrong. Can control it without a single thought, after all.
[ And now he'll let out a snort; the bright light and the innuendo really having that much of an affect on him. Those words also do vaguely reminded him of something he had originally intended to speak with Eric about (involving uh, last night's actions), but he'll put it aside for now, letting the flame go out right about then.
And he just really wanted to kiss Eric for that pun, so he'll do that, even if it's a short one. When he'll pull away, he'll speak again. ]
Yeah, you are. Not many could handle the heat of the Almighty Conflagration, either. So you've got twice the bragging rights than anyone else.
[Wow. Was his dumb joke that much of a turn-on, or is he just going all out to encourage Eric for coming on to him in any way?? He's blinking in surprise, mostly because he wasn't expecting a kiss just because he said that, but it just adds to the giddiness that lead him to try in the first place. It was a good time for the flame to disappear though, he probably couldn't have taken much more exposure to it. He's just gonna wipe the sweat off on his pants.
...He really would feel like bragging, but there's no one in this world whose opinion he really cares about, and it'd be weird to have love chat with the people who worship his godhood back on Nirn. Maybe he'll just settle it for rubbing it in Mira's face (but if that's what he wanted to talk to him about from last night, he'd be forced to think again.) Of course he was also thinking about how close they came to their 'first time' with each other earlier today... There's also the fact that if he really is THE first person to get close to him like this, it's something Eric would find awfully lonely, but McBurn doesn't seem to care about that so he'll keep it to himself. No need to bring down the mood.]
Haha. I better stay really close then! I don't wanna lose my bragging rights after I just got here.
[Now that his hand is as dry as it's gonna get after that, he'll just try to interlace the fingers on the hands that were almost touching earlier. That's an innocent way of being 'really close'. Soft sparkles accompany.]
How's the view on the other side of the ship?
[Walking in that direction!! He's an excited puppy after getting affection, ready to drag him around. Though McBurn could pull him back the way he wants since he's supposed to be the tour guide here.]
[ McBurn was just entirely too himself to care about being lonely and all that, Eric was correct about that. The only time where he even recognized that feeling was like on one or two occasions and those probably don't count because his train of thought had been concerning without being without powers for like close to a year.
Which sucked pretty hard, actually. But, he had those back now.
And Eric. So what else could he possibly care about beyond getting a pretty good battle and a certain thing back due to it? Nothing, actually.
McBurn will actually keep pace as Eric tugs him towards the other side of the ship for a different birds eye view. It looks like there's more mountains that could be seen. A lot of mountains, actually. Oh and a fortress in the distance.
McBurn will only pull the other back if he thought the other was going to be close to falling over but Eric seemed smarter than to not allow himself in that kind of danger. Up here, getting to the other side of the ship wasn't hard either. Once they get back inside, McBurn would definitely be more ready to start leading them around again...but once again, they're outside still, so it's not a big deal. ]
Not bad. You get to see obviously more than just ocean and the port city.
Usually wouldn't care about that sort of thing, but...eh. Still don't care about it. More interested in what you'd think of it.
[ ... ]
If you'd like, we could even do a little sight seeing at Ordis, which is nearby enough for us to see it. It's a pretty popular place to be; almost time for that festival too...only know about it since some of the members won't shut up about it.
Hehe, alright! [No tugging back will be needed since he's not even leaning on the rail. You can see enough with just a step back.] I think it's a pretty view. Not too many places you can see a mountain range across an ocean, I think...? Definitely wouldn't have seen it in the place I grew up.
[Mundus is a different story, but it's cheating if you helped design it.
He turns back toward McBurn when he mentions sightseeing at the festival, cautiously interested. Festivals sound fun, almost like going to the country fair, but on the other hand he's in another world and the society cohorts seem like they have strange taste.]
[ Well, he'll pick up on that interest. It could be real fun for them to just spend time together...doing things. That would be actually a date, wouldn't it? Come to think of it, he's never gone on a date before.
Anyway. ]
About having a blast and fireworks. Emphasis on 'fireworks' since they don't pull any punches on that front.
[ Things McBurn was not:
A great historian. Though he did know things, what he paid attention to was very selective due to general apathy. ]
There's probably something else to it, but I couldn't be bothered to remember or care. Not really from Erebonia anyway.
Still, you sound interested in that, yeah? Wouldn't be bad to join in some kind of celebration and wind down.
[He chuckles at that description. McBurn obviously boiled it down to the only parts he found interesting, but it's probably a normal festival by that description. Having to do with some historical event or other.]
Well that's fine, I'm not from there either, haha...
[So they can both just celebrate something they have no idea about. It's fine.]
It sounds like fun. Come to think of it, I guess it's been a pretty long time since I saw some actual fireworks.
[He can make a facsimile out of his personal lasers but that's not the same... and now he's looking at one of his hands, thinking a bit sadly about who he'd usually put on that kind of performance for before balling his hand up again and glancing back up at McBurn, a little more softly now.]

That number seems even smaller now.]
no subject
no subject
Well, should we go find something to do?
no subject
Good.
...Well, that shouldn't be too hard; there's some place else I wanted to show you on the ship anyway.
no subject
So what are we flying over right now?
no subject
...Though he probably wouldn't care about that if it was literally almost anyone else, so maybe it wasn't exactly the biggest piece of progress he's made.
Don't really care too much about that right now.
no subject
...well I don't want to slow you down if you actually need to help them...
Watching you hang off that rail's making me nervous.
no subject
Pretty sure the ship wouldn't be able to handle it for too long.
no subject
That can wait.
no subject
Kind of wondering a bit about what's run through your mind to do that.
no subject
Uh... you said you could do whatever you wanted, so I figured not burning my fingers off wouldn't be too hard an ask even if I tried, heh.
[There's a beat as he considers whether to say something dirty on purpose this time instead of on accident. Then he goes for it, but he can't keep a straight face at all.]
I honestly just wanted to feel what it was like up close when you did that. But if I'm really your 'first' here, that's great ♡
[he actually does make that heart in his light, atop a pointed index finger on the hand that isn't cupped close to the unholy glow. ...That hand, by the way, is starting to seriously sweat.]
no subject
So you've got twice the bragging rights than anyone else.
no subject
...He really would feel like bragging, but there's no one in this world whose opinion he really cares about, and it'd be weird to have love chat with the people who worship his godhood back on Nirn.
Though McBurn could pull him back the way he wants since he's supposed to be the tour guide here.]
no subject
It's a pretty popular place to be; almost time for that festival too...only know about it since some of the members won't shut up about it.
no subject
[Mundus is a different story, but it's cheating if you helped design it.
He turns back toward McBurn when he mentions sightseeing at the festival, cautiously interested. Festivals sound fun, almost like going to the country fair, but on the other hand he's in another world and the society cohorts seem like they have strange taste.]
What's the festival about?
no subject
Anyway.
Wouldn't be bad to join in some kind of celebration and wind down.
no subject
Well that's fine, I'm not from there either, haha...
[So they can both just celebrate something they have no idea about. It's fine.]
It sounds like fun. Come to think of it, I guess it's been a pretty long time since I saw some actual fireworks.
[He can make a facsimile out of his personal lasers but that's not the same... and now he's looking at one of his hands, thinking a bit sadly about who he'd usually put on that kind of performance for before balling his hand up again and glancing back up at McBurn, a little more softly now.]
...I'll be looking forward to the real deal.
